Observation details
The bird shows five fingers and a dark carpal patch, with a tail featuring a dark terminal band and two additional bands near the base. Its wings display a dark trailing edge followed by two finer bars. The absence of a mesial stripe and throat gorget confirm this as a pure EHB, ruling out the similar-looking OHB or an OHB x EHB hybrid. This individual is an adult female. The yellow eye indicates its age, while the tail pattern, showing a dark terminal bar and two more bands near the base and the patchy underwing pattern point to a female.
