Observation details
Continuing birds first found by Rob Lowry on Sept 8, 2024. Unmistakeable—pink above, paler below, large spoon-shaped bill. Juveniles (first year birds) by relatively pale pink color and feathered head. Observed from pullout at 39.164661,-119.165086 from about 9:40 AM to about 10:30 AM and then again in the same spot at 12:15 PM. They were on a small, low island north of the pullout. Amazing to see these here!!
