Observation details
Unmistakable-- kite with bold white body, head, underwing coverts, rest black, forked tail. See photos. Flying with MIssissippi Kites.. Spotted at 8:42, had it in view most of the time till 10:10. For much of this time it was foraging with MIssissippi Kites at low altitude, catching insects on the wing over the trees to the northwest. Another birder Max Thompson also arrived during this time and also observed the bird. Last seen drifting to the west with some Mississippi Kites, high, distant. Sighting also posted to Kansas Birding Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/KSbirds/posts/8071611979633469/. Also can provide video that includes immediate surrounding landscape.
