Observation details
pretty sure in the field that there was a Bank Swallow. brown swallow with prominent dark band on chest in flight. Tried unsuccessfully to get useful photos and I am not even sure that the 3 photos that I am uploading are the same bird. The one bird with the chest band showing looks to me to be an immature Tree Swallow. The other 2 photos of brown swallows showing the backs don't look like Tree Swallow to me because of the dark tails contrasting with the lighter brown backs, but they don's look like Banks either without an obvious white collar coming up the side of the neck. My feeling is that there was a Bank Swallow there, but the photos aren't good enough to be supporting evidence and it's a rare enough bird in the county that I am not going to make that claim.
