Observation details
Lifer! Continuing (seen yesterday morning). 1st winter juvenile male I believe. Larger than a RWBL. Dirty yellow hood with a more vibrant yellow breast, dark body, dark spectacles, faint hints of white primary coverts, and a funny yellow dot on the cloaca. Present when I arrived to the low, succulent-like vegetation at ~8:30 AM. Spooked along with the LESA and joined a flock of RWBL that was circling.. Fed on the outskirts of that flock in the sea oats on the dunes, then took off into the distance with them. Returned 15 minutes later alone to the vegetation patch where it was originally seen (coordinates: 35.227312,-75.529390). Slinking very low through the plants, staying mostly covered and hidden for most of the time. Watched it chase a moth out of the plants, so I presume it was feeding on insects. I got many photos and an audio recording!
