Observation details

This bird had an obvious red eye and its face was lighter than other Ibises present... but I still didn't really notice a white outline. In good light, it's back was reddish-maroon colored and its wings were an iridescent maroon, greenish and bronzish. Coloring on wings was slightly patchy. This makes me think this bird is a molting adult WFIB and the other three are juvenile WFIB. I have an audio recording of one of the birds calling and will see if I can post. Not sure call would be enough to distinguish WFIB from GLIB since they are similar but will try post anyway. Merlin did not recognize this call at all (perhaps because of distance?) UPDATE: Audio posted. Thanks goes to Kyle Bess for processing the audio for me. UPDATE 2 (08/30/24): This is the same bird that Kent Freeman photographed yesterday in good light showing the pink facial skin.
