Observation details

first impression was a noticeably larger peep than nearby least, much paler buffy with clean buff breast bib, black legs, and very stretched-out looking due to substantial primary tip projection past tail. scaly plumage on the back, and relatively paler in the head compared to rest of plumage. from size and shape, considered white-rumped, but got clear views that rump is dark. perhaps the same individual seen here a few days ago? This individual might be somewhat paler than the one shown in photos from 8/23, although different lighting or white-balance effects are hard to rule out as those photos seemed overall very warm toned throughout compared to mine (auto white-balance setting on camera raw images in lightroom). unfortunately, no direct photo comparisons of this bird with nearby least sand, but the substantially bulkier size of this bird was the very first thing that drew my attention to it
