Observation details
Oh yeah! Found at N end of Waatch River Valley from Makah Passage Rd. Relatively small, long-tailed, and long-legged buteo with warm orange-buff head and chest. Crisp black and white bands in remiges and tail, and white "crescent" at base of primaries. Observed in flight and perched in treetops next to a herd of 43 Elk.
