Observation details

Suspected ingestion of rat poison. Visible symptoms include lethargy, weakness and thirst. Moribund upon discovery, it showed little fear or resistance as I picked it up from water feature in the backyard. I left it overnight wrapped up in a blanket in a dark box with access to chicken strips ( which it refused to eat) and water, with intention to drive it to rehab the following morning. Sadly it did not survive the night. I buried it 4ft underground in a sealed box to prevent ingestion of the poison by other scavengers.
