Observation details
*Uncommon, #217 for Maine! Plump, bright shorebirds with long bills. Feeding as a trio. Prominent brick-red color throughout the ventral area, with overall few markings (not spotted as in SBDO). Bills were long and bent gently downwards as they reached the tip, not markedly kinked as in Short-billed. Loral angle high. When they flew after about 10 minutes of observing them, they let out sharp "keek" notes. Audio/photos. Found near the pannes proper, and then after flying, they touched down just north of the eastern trail, approximately here: 43.568194,-70.361392
