Observation details
2 basic-plumaged gray sandpipers slightly larger than nearby Killdeers; both with brown crown, white supercilium, barred sides (one also had barring under tail), straight black bill, large belly, white underparts, gray wash across breast, a few black feathers in gray upperparts, greenish legs; sewing machine probing when they started to forage.
