Observation details
Flagged as rare but annual at this location. There was a nice mixed flock along the road to the wetlands, close to the edge of the woods just before it opens up into the wetlands. I pished a bit and a CONW dive-bombed me and landed next to the path. It foraged in the low brush/fallen branches for several minutes, giving a loud chip note (not the "pweek!" call) and several "zzzip" flight notes. Each time it called, a second bird responded nearby with the exact same chip. I think this is enough evidence to confirm a second bird, but will err on the side of caution and enter a count of 1. The visible bird eventually flew up and landed in the top (!) of a nearby tree, where it disappeared into the leaves.
