Observation details
First seen by both of us as we were pulling into the area to survey Bananaquits. As we saw a swallow bank, we were taken by its contrasting rump, thinking it might be a Cliff Swallow. We scanned for swallows and saw something that resembled a rough-winged swallow. Augie followed up with the bird as I continued down the beach. He got photos and confirmed it was a rough-winged. We later learned that Southern Rough-winged might be just as possible as Northern, and would explain the contrasting rump. We later reconnected with the bird and confirmed the ID. Photos will be added. Seen foraging over the field at this location (12.0774964, -61.6281419) with other arial insectivores.
