Observation details
Pretty floored when, as we were waiting for a Humpback to resurface, spotted a small dark storm petrel doing its distinctive fluttery flight mid distance from the vessel over Coyote Bank at 48.29722, -123.24754. Dark brown Storm-Petrel with dark tail and white rump patch intersected by a dark triangle descending from the back. Watched for about a half minute before it passed out of view and was not seen again. Photos taken. #254 for the Vancouver Island Big Year
