Observation details

Plain, gray-brown medium-sized shorebird with straight, sturdy bill and blue-gray legs. Black and white wing pattern seen in flight when it flew up the beach towards me. As I watched it from inside my car, I saw it flush and return to the beach 3 times. I stayed until Rybz arrived. I found out later that it didn’t stay long after I left; it flew off in a northward direction. Photos.
