Song of a male from near an orange-flowered small tree (with abundant tubular flowers) at which it was feeding; this is above the stream through humid montane forest along the La Soledad side road off Hwy 175, 1550m. Background includes: White-throated Thrush, Yellow-green Vireo. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
1500m, common and conspicuous, including several adult males defending feeding territories of orange-flowered bushes; a Grebe lifer!
