Observation details
Pair actively foraging on exposed muddy area by entrance. Glossy shimmering ibis with chestnut colored body, long down curved dark bill, dark facial skin with think white/blue lining, no white seen in feathering ruling out immature WHIB which is very necessary to do as a majority of the species are black looking WHIB juveniles. Thankfully this pair stood alone from the large groups of young WHIB and made for good viewing to easily distinguishable them. Actively foraging and not interacting with other WHIB. Observed chasing off nearby grackle as well. Viewed while facing north after sun had risen from 230 feet away, good views during observation period.
