NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 43. Bulk reel: 130. 139 tape. a) Natural song and calls; there was apparently a conflict situation and many calls are heard, at one place as one bird chased another across the road (flying). Quality: 2. Level: +3. 3.75 ips. Copy on N-4.2. (Aulacorhynchus sulcatus prominently heard. Actually I was mainly interested in recording it and the antthrush recording was incidental.) (These recordings were made mainly to test the use of the Nagra SN.) b) A continuation of above, now intentionally recording the antthrush. Mainly conflict calls in the beginning; then song by a bird foraging, perhaps with some "displacement" character to it, as I sometimes whistled an imitation. Quality: 1. Level: 0. 7.5 ips. Copied on N-4.2. [Recordist did not specify type of microphone used.].
