Observation details
Estimated count. Flock of small parrots feeding in canopy of Yellow Gums and Yellow Box, apparently on lerps because no flowers visible. Adults and sub-adult birds. Bright red face and forehead, reddish on vent and rump, breast yellow-green with some birds showing red patches, wing blue-green with small red patch around the tertials, red underwing coverts in flight, slim, pointed tail. Actively feeding, calling frequently, and moving between trees in a small area. Watched for about 30 minutes. Shocking photo and recording uploaded.
