Observation details
Pair with 1 young in the same nesting area.foraging on rocks exsposed by lower tide. The adults seem wary and somewhat agitated today. More people around. One flew off and appeared to mob GBHE that had flown somewhat close. a potential threat no doubt. Remaining bird also called and young stayed more hidden in rocks. Later heard oystercatchers and 2 bloy and 1 AMOY flew from ocean-side jetty toward Doheny, then west toward harbor, and out of site. I paddled around looking for them but did not see them. They could have been headed towards the ocean institute habitat. Lots of fisher's already on the jetties displacing birds Must all have the day off for fourth of july.
