Observation details
I was driving east on East Harbor Rd (Rt 163) coming from Port Clinton. I looked up in sky and saw some white specs against the blue sky so I pulled into 2640 E. Harbor Rd a construction company. I had no camera just my car binoculars and cheap android phone. I counted 18 American White Pelicans very far off and high up slowly circling and moving slowly to the south. They were already south of Rt 163 but they were circling so slowly it was hard to see them except when you could see the front of the white and black wings. Then they were in front of the very large puffy clouds. Then they started to move north across the road still circling very slowly with me and no camera. I tried to use my cell phone but it only showed specs. Hard to zoom camera in when you can't see anything on screen trying to judge where they would show up then they were in front of blue sky with utility lines running across Rt 163 blocking my view then they were in front of the very large and very long clouds higher up and never saw them after that as they moved toward Catawba. This whole ordeal took at least five minutes. They must of been above Walmart and Rt 53 or so when I first saw them.
