Observation details
*Rare* Expected at this location. Found 1 male with flock of about 15 BHCO at Flamingo Campground area, heading towards Amphitheater, restroom closest to Eco-tents (yurts). Foraging on mowed short grass in front of building. Excited to finally find it at 11:50 am, after walking and driving around the Flamingo campground, lodge, and marina area 4+ hours since 7:35 am. We had just sat down for picnic lunch. Noticed small flock of nearby BHCO doubled in number, and saw the male Shiny Cowbird among them. It vocalized once. We scoped the skittish flock, which eventually settled back on grass next to building for excellent long views and photos. Larger than BHCO, brilliant shiny deep blue color, pointed bill.
