Observation details

This species seen and heard at this location in most of the past few years. (See checklist S46488923, 10 June 2018, when this species was seen, heard, and photographed with a group of 15 experienced birders. Also seen and heard here on 27 May 2018 (S46091066), 9 June 2019 (two birds) with 14 birders (S57310324), 31 May 2020 (S69955848), and in years prior to 2018 as well.. This location is 14.5 km NW of the Highwood PRA Hotspot, where I have often recorded this species as well.) Seen well, photographed. It did not vocalize but reacted very strongly to brief playback of the Dusky song. Pale olive colour, light eye-ring with slight teardrop shape at rear, two wing bars, black upper bill. I have never reported it at this location before without audio confirmation but I believe this is a Dusky. See photos.
