Observation details

Large reed bed along the creekline at the crossing with at Berthong Road and then accessible for about 400 more meters by walking along the edge of Milvale Road heading east. I played Spotless Crake motorized calls and Lewin’s Rail grunting calls about every 50 meters following along the creekline by Milvale Road. Minimum count. All birds heard on the eastern side of the Berthong Road by following along the reed beds by Milvale Road. Any calls I thought may have been from birds that might have had time to catch up to where I was playing calls or called from the direction I already played, I didn’t count.
