Observation details
(37.7372642, -122.4824078). Coloration would fit for WEFL, but plumage rather worn and lacked prominent almond shaped eye ring - possibly because of poor light conditions. Bill also appears on the relatively slight side for a WEFL. Bird was silent, even after listening for around an hour, which surprised me, as WEFL in breeding grounds in Marin are still calling. Both Dusky and Least Flycatchers considered as most likely alternatives. Three of the photos were reviewed by Dominik, Eli, Brian, Rachel and Keith. While some thought it looked a bit unusual for WEFL, the majority thought WEFL was the more likely species, based on three pictures. I’ll continue to look through additional materials.
