Observation details

🔴 ******MEGA, adult male. Andrea Patterson and banding class were there and on the bird when we arrived along with growing mob. It was feeding around the offshoot that goes around the large conifers a quarter mile in on the trail here: 43.3215336, -77.7239642 The bird spent a long time back in there (offshoot trail) as we watched from the main trail, mostly low to the ground. It eventually came towards us, both above and below, and continued working along the main trail back towards the parking lot. It flew back away along the main trail towards woodcock field at 12:44 and we moved on. Dave Tetlow joked about how long it took us to find it after he released it :) Shockingly confiding, bulky warbler with tail pumping action. Soft yellow below with beautiful slaty blue color above and split white eye ring. Simply incredible!! Back of camera photos for now, hopefully I can find the originals.
