Observation details
As first seen by rangers and reported by Gracyn Fulling. Large white bird with conspicuously large long pinkish yellow-orange bill with expansive pouch and no knob-like caruncle. Likely finished mating for the season, if an adult. Black wingtips. Seen first midway down the cove leading to the nature center. Lifted and relocated moments later by the low-rise dam. Seen well with Carl Engstrom and Landon Roberts. Thanks to Carl for the scope views! Still present when I left at 4:30pm. The presence of nearby people enjoying the day did not seem to flush it.
