Observation details
Continuing vireo found by Brian Daniels this morning. Relocated many times by Sylvia in the northeast section of the park. Superficially like a Warbling Vireo, but with more yellow across chest, concentrated near the center, paler yellow lower down towards upper belly, more pronounced dark eyeline (vs. Warbling) with pale supercilium, cold tan-gray (perhaps with a hint of olive) back and wings without wingbars. Heard soft singing (slurred vireo-like phrases) and occasional scold calls. Vireo visited several trees in the area and even went down to the bird bathing channel area with sticks a few times. During my visit, the vireo was most frequently seen in a tight group of carrotwood trees along the southeast side of the goose pond. Photos and recordings.
