Observation details
Brown and white shearwater with more contrast. Dark defined cap and white collar. Dark, smudgy belly seen in flight. Black bill. Whitish band on rump seemed more prominent than in Cory’s. One sitting on the water when we arrived. Another briefly landed then took off again. All heading north. Photos to support observation.
