Observation details
Heard singing in hilly oak forest with sandy soil along with indigo buntings and a chestnut-sided warbler. Singing for 5 minutes, then got a good look at it and it had a yellow body with a head that was dark grey to its chest. Small. Song had two parts, a watery gurgle-sound of repeating high and low notes, then a typical warbler song with repeating low and high notes. It was in trees adjacent to a trail and an area with fewer trees, or a small opening. It flew across the opening into thicker forest.
