Observation details
Continuing on the southeast side in the southeast corner. Large headed and upright flycatcher. The combination of that and the dusky stripped flanks, long back-curved wings, and no bold eye- ring ruled out Empidonax spp. Overall extremely similar to Western Wood-Pewee but with a different call that was a rising pee-wee at the end as opposed to the flat, non-ascending call of of WEWP . Lower mandible if bird showed extensive pale coloration, more than the dusky pinkish-orange of a WEWP, especially the first half-closest to the base. The wingbars appeared brighter than expected for western and appeared to contrast more with the dark primaries.
