Observation details
Continuing. Photos and audio recordings. Grosbeak with black head, gleaming white underparts except for rose triangle on breast. Big pale beak. Black wings with complicated white pattern on them. When we arrived, it was singing from deep in a eucalyptus on the slope above the maintenance yard but below east side of the main park, 33.856356, -118.375982. We never were able to see it while it was in that tree, but it kept singing regularly. Eventually it flew out and into the tallest eucalyptus at the southeast corner of the park proper (same tree where the Eastern Wood-Pewee was a week ago, 33.856246, -118.376189). It kept singing and was visible both from the maintenance yard and from inside the park itself.
