Observation details
Bright male singing above bridge on west side of lake. Different yellow from WIWA: warmer, sharper, with rusty streaks on sides of breasts (diagnostic). All yellow with no gray, white or black on mantle or belly. Singing a very redstart -like song. I thought it was the redstart reported by David until I got a visual. I have an audio recording. Maybe the AMRE & YEWA were close and I recorded the AMRE and saw the YEWA? It's possible because I sometimes have a hard time distinguishing AMRE & YEWA songs. They can sound the same to me with that last downslurred note. This song was consistent, loud and insistent, which seems more characteristic of YEWA. Later I saw the YEWA and it was singing a more typical song. Heard another YEWA song on island.
