This photo is to estimate the size & where it was in the pine forest. Very Leech infested area
Observation details
At first, seemed like a Grey-winged Blackbird but unusually remained still. I ignored it after I took a picture. Later while searching for its Id. I found out it was the Purple Cochoa! Very deep in leech infested pine forest. Size was almost the same as a Grey-winged Blackbird but more erect posture just like a thrush. The purple-ish body & that white cap gave its Id away to me. The habitat is pretty good for this bird there as the forest floor is wet and I can see some water pathways through the forest here and there. In my opinion, good habitat for this species.
