Observation details
Female as earlier reported by Julius Marinov and possibly the same individual that was seen in midtown. Large and unmistakable bird, foraging on private lawn, just North of subway station and Starbucks. Long legged, long necked, and longed tailed. Dark barring on body and reddish barring on rump. Lighter colored patterned wings. Often interacting with and challenging an American Crow, who was not happy with the presence of such a large bird. Smaller birds: European Starling, House Sparrow, and Gray Catbird, were also freaking out when the Wild Turkey came near.
