Observation details
In eucs on island, found during my search for the Bay-breatsed Warbler. I kept hearing a "squeaky wheel" song, which is similar to a Black-and-White Warbler song. Then finally saw the Warbler, and I let other birders know. Re-found later by Braxton L. for good views, photos and audio. Warbler with black and white stripes. Possibly an immature male (some black on throat)? Dark lores and distinctive arrows under tail. Foraging mostly upside down on tree branches. Singing a song that sounds like a squeaky wheel. Spectrogram shows two element phrases, with the first element higher pitch, and the second element a lower pitch. Spectrogram compared to Warbler Song Finder Charts (The Warbler Guide, by Tom Stephenson and Scott Whittle, p. 121). Second audio, obtained at 9:27 am, shows song starting at 07 seconds.
