NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 19. Bulk reel: 122. 202 tape. LN. In this cut there is heard the "song" of this species, mostly of the male but also of the female. However, the "churring" may not be by this species, although playback of it brought reaction by this species, including increased song. [Note off to one side with arrow pointing to the above text:] I suspect the "churring" may be by Myrmeciza longipes. There were other antbirds present too: Myrmeciza longipes, Myrmoborus leucophrys, Cercomacra cinerascens. a) 6:25 AM. Natural vocalizations. (bother? or attending an ant swarm? A thick thorn barrier prevented my entering woods to find out.) Quality: 1. Level: +3. b) 6:50AM. After playback. Quality: 1. Level: +3.
