Observation details
This is a lower estimate... The habitat is quite favourable for the species. The area too is vast and the birds are quite evenly spread. They were not too shy, occasionally landing quite close to where I was standing or sitting. The only thing unfavorable was the hot weather during which I decided to hang around. A peculiar behaviour that was noteworthy was how they spread their wings and stooped low on the ground. Accompanying images being provided in the checklist. At first, I thought, it was to hide in plain sight, but then I noted that they were indifferent to my presence and this behaviour required far more reasoning and inference. Also, if they were meaning to hide, then they would just crouch low. Around midday, the highest number of birds took flight, circling in the vicinity.
