Observation details
Continuing bird found by M Weber. Bird was located on the opposite side of the cove from my location, it was feeding near the group of large white buoys on the east side of the cove. I walked out to the waterline to cut the distance. It wasnt really possible to see the bird from the east side of the cove as it is all private houses with no access to water that I could see. A black and white alcid, as opposed to the brownish color of a COMU. The bill was shorter and stockier than COMU, as well. The bird did not seem to be in complete adult plumage, there was some white located on the throat, I would assume that this would indicate it is a first year bird.
