Observation details
Feeding low in narrow-leaf cottonwood at edge of moist-soil Unit B. Female (first-year?). Did quite a bit of tail fanning while flitting about, making noticeable the yellow triangular patches on the tail that extend from rump to the sides but not to the rear edge of the tail (visible in photo). Overall, warbler-like in appearance with grey head and light-grey breast and underparts, having a bit of yellow on sides. Darker grey-olive mantle and rump. Slight white eyering noticeable though this bird stayed in shadowy interior and lower branches of tree.
