Observation details
Rare/uncommon seasonal migrant. Nice surprise, was beginning to think I missed the window on these special guys in our area. Classic OSFL, typical erect posture from dead snags waiting for unassuming treats. Dark bodied tyrant with peaked " bullhead " appearance, short tailed and distinct dark vested flanks. Dual white rump patches seen in flight as he sallied from snags hunting in its aerial assault for insects. Hats off to you one time Nemesis Bird, you truly are the mighty Falcon of Flycatchers.
