Observation details
Heard early. I took photos, but was thinking it was a Western Wood Pewee. We returned to the area around 8 am and heard the bird again, then we sent recording to various folks like Paul L who said for us to stay with the bird. We eventually saw it a bit northeast and it seemed to favor wires and fences. Looks extremely similar to Western Wood Pewee except for the yellow lower mandible. Many came to see and document it. Landscapers gave us permission to stay today (only in the very Southeastern Corner) because of the rarity of the bird. Will add my sound recording and photos.
