Observation details
Continuing, fantastic find this morning by Brian. Thickish pinkish gray bill, dark lores and faint dark eyeline(vs warbling), whitish supercillium, grayish-olive crown. Back and wings same general color as crown, lacks wingbars. Fairly short tail, upper side grayish, underside brownish overall. Underparts dull yellowish, much brighter yellow on center of chest and throat, both brighter and more centered than warbling. Legs and feet dark. Bird not as bright as earlier this morning, due to sun fading throughout the day(thanks Tom!). Vocalized twice, scolding/chatter calls. Sang earlier this morning, not while I was here! Moving a circuit between 3 general trees/locations, a carrotwood patch here (33.7063393, -118.0033172), came down to drink multiple times here: (33.7059095, -118.0036260), and also seen resting in Brazilian pepper here (33.7060599, -118.0030138). Moved back and forth between these three spots, tough to find and track down unless in the open. Seen with Tino Castillo, Tom Wurster, Alex Cod, Jan Gaffney, Roger Schoedl, Thomas Lopez, Chef Ito, and one or two others whose names I didn’t know. Lifer for me! Photos + (poor)audio
