Observation details
I happened to park my car at a different lot today, by Betty King entrance, and as soon as I got out of my car (about 5:45 am), I could hear a Mourning Warbler singing in direction of the stream area. By the time I got my gear and walked over there, it had started to move through the base of trees in direction of the tee ball field bridge. I only heard it call maybe 4 more times before it went quiet and I lost track of where it may have gone. The sun was just starting to light up this area and I had the warbler in front of me on the outer limbs of a tree. I thought I was going to finally get some good looks completely out in the open but it dropped down into some thicker vegetation where I lost it. I did about 3 more passes through the area on my laps and I never saw or heard signs of it again but I suspect it may still be around the stream area.
