Observation details
Continuing scarce and rare migrants. Good habitat potential for probable breeding/nesting grounds. First bird heard loud and clear making its distinct staccato like machine gun chattery trill at spot where Dave Nutter reported north and to the east a couple hundred yards. Very close views at no less than 20- 30 feet off trail. After bit of pause and on my way back second individual started counter singing 40 yards off to the west near gate and parking area. This individual played a little harder in its concealment but popped up and gave brief but great views and photo ops. Nice original find by Christina Hoh. Always a treat to see and hear these special and endangered birds. Photos and Audio TBA.
