Observation details
Was sitting in field NW corner of intersection w/ C and Section 5 Road, in dead trees. Observed for a little over an hour while it sat and preened. Decent sized bird sitting rather up right, black feathers on body with yellow and black on head, pinkish face and yellow beak noticeable. Observed through another birder's scope and could see striations on chest. Observed the yellow legs as well. Unfortunately did not see in flight or on ground. Obtained grainy photos as well.
