Observation details
Went back today for better documentation. The bird is nesting with a female Barn Swallow Throat a dark orange/brown with some black (like Cliff), forehead dark brown (like Barn), tan rump patch (Cliff). Pale collar noted (Cliff). The undertail coverts were the same color as the rump (Barn), but the belly was white (Cliff) with brown on the flanks (Cliff). One of Katelyn Davis's photos show some white spots on the tail feathers (Barn) Structure: The wings were more rounded (Cliff) and weren't as long as Barn Swallow. The giss of this swallow was a Cliff, and it wasn't as graceful a flier as the nearby Barn Swallows. Overall this swallow seemed more compact (Cliff). Forked tail - intermediate between Barn's long, forked tail and Cliff's square tail Vocalizations: Largely Barn, but with a rattle at the end that is more akin to Cliff Swallow
