Observation details
Brilliant find by Andy Jensen. I had views earlier in the day on the bay but had better views here. I observed the bird from a distance with a scope, probably the key notable feature was the dark leading edge of the underwing, it was smaller than the Bar Tailed Godwits, and had a clear white rump and a black tail with a slightly upturned bill. The upturned bill negated a Black-Tailed Godwit and the size and underwing markings also negated Bar-tailed Godwit.
