Observation details
Late. Singing male between 2:11-2:14 p.m.! Seen naked-eye, unfortunately for me, so I was just able to make out its orange throat, black sideburns (and maybe an ear patch), plus a snowy white belly/vent. I managed to capture an audio recording of two full songs, one towards the beginning of this cut (0:04) and another at the very end (1:03). I was right below the bird at the time, and Merlin was able to identify the second song and apparently the chips at the 0:07 mark, if I'm to believe the annotated recording. Amazingly, this is the 27th spp of warbler (!!) that I've had in the neighborhood over the past 13 months. And the 24 spp this year! I just can't believe the diversity of migrants that swings by this little patch of habitat.
