Observation details
It's true!! A bonanza of Mourning Warblers!! (known habitat in past years). A pair found just after leaving parking lot in first clearing to right of trail. Full two-part song: "Cheery-cheery-cheery-chorry-chorry "and seen well (olive green above, yellow below, gray hood, male with black bib, female with lighter gray hood, more prominent, broken eye ring and no black bib). Further up trail the third seen and heard, singing second portion of full song: "chorry-chorry-chorry", and yet further up trail the fourth. After making turn to come down Honey Hollow Road found three individual mourning warblers, the first singing only the first portion of song: "cheery-cheery-cheery" , all well-separated by at least a half mile along length of Honey Hollow Road.
